Alamo Plaza


Alamo Plaza shopping center is located in the heart of Alamo and contains over 40 local and chain shops. Alamo Plaza is also the location of many of Alamo’s festivals and expo’s every year including the Wine and Music Festivals, and many different art walks. Whether you are looking for a hot cup of coffee and Pete’s Coffee or need to do some shopping at Safeway, Alamo Plaza is where you would find it!

Alamo Plaza is also the home to one of the finest meat markets in the entire area. Lawrence’s Meat Market which was founded in 1910. Alamo plaza also used to hold one of the first buildings built in the town, the Post Office. The post office is still located in Alamo Plaza but now has been moved to the other side of the lot.

Roundhill Country Club

 Located in The Round Hill development, Round Hill Country Club is located on a beautiful tournement quality 18-hole golf course. Round Hill also has an amazing swimteam called the “Round Hill Heat” who are also at the top of their game when competing on the local, regional, or state level. Round Hill also offers top quality tennis courts and dining. Round Hill Country Club is also a prime location for hosting corporate events or Weddings.

Oak Hill Park

Oak Hill Park is one of the beautiful parks in the town of Alamo. Featuring a large pond and beautiful club house, it is among one of the favorites of people in Alamo. With many BBQ’s and picnic tables around the pond it is a great place to have a family event of just a relaxing afternoon in the park. There are also many large open grassy areas for playing soccer, football, or any other outdoor activities. Behind the beautiful play structure is a wonderful trails that heads into the hills that are a backdrop to the park. Also located adjacent to Monte Vista Highschool that features a full 1/4 mile running track and several tennis courts.

The Iron Horse Trail

The Iron Horse Trail is 33 miles long and spans through 12 different cities. One of the cities that it runs through is our own Alamo. Known for offering wonderful views of walking, running, cycling, taking the dog for a stroll, the Iron Horse Trail is a wonderful landmark and know as part of Alamo. In order to increase safety, both Alamo and Danville have installed lights through our portion of The Iron Horse to insure our safety in our already very safe town.

Happ Magge Park

Happ Magge Park is on the border of Alamo and Danville and a great place to go out and enjoy a nice day. Happ Magge also have a wonder 1.5 acre dog park, the only one in Alamo. Before being transformed into a wonderful park, Happe Magge was a grazing area for cattle. The park also features lots of fun water features with motion sensors and provides a wonderful time for those who want to fun through it on a hot day, kids and kids-at-heart both!
